A world-renowned physicist, the creator of the first Soviet “xerox” machine, and a man of rare inner freedom and wit, Vladimir Fridkin, in his 90s, lives in Moscow—joking, arguing, and reflecting on science, death, and a life well lived.

In 2022, his family is dispersed across different countries.
